Di visiting Islamabad in 1983… she was working on “Good Morning Australia” for Network Ten TV in Sydney and her children Gabrielle and Nicolas were at school there while their father was posted to the us embassy. Then Islamabad was little known, many official buildings were yet to be built and travel and accommodation was rather rustic! But the shopping was interesting as was the lack of tourists.
